About The Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: RN License (West Virginia or Compact License accepted) Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience (preferred) - Patient ratio experience - Experience with telemetry and ventilator management Description: Critical care/med surgical registered nurse needed for night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. Weekdays and every other weekend required. Opportunity for blocked scheduling available. Patient ratio is 1:4-6. Unit details include an average census of 0.2 patients per day. Candidates must have certifications including BCLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. Experience with conscious sedation, telemetry, and ventilator management is required. Responsibilities include managing ventilated patients, administering emergency medications, and participating in infection prevention protocols. Candidates must be proficient in interpreting arterial blood gases and managing dysrhythmias. Skills needed include IV management, phlebotomy, and care of surgical wounds with drains. Patient demographics include adults and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary team support available in physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
