Job Description

An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher at an elementary school setting in South Burlington, VT, for the upcoming school year. This contract position focuses on delivering tailored instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with student goals and state guidelines.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to ensure consistency and support across learning environments.
  • Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies to address a wide range of learning challenges.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to optimize academic and social development.
  • Maintain detailed records and communicate regularly with parents and school staff regarding student performance and needs.
