Currently seeking a Marketing Specialist consultant for a large company in San Antonio (Shavano Park area) This position is a long-term permanent position. Salary is $60,000 ($28/hr.)

The primary responsibility of this Marketing Specialist is to develop and execute a variety of marketing and branding activities. Company is currently starting their marketing team and seeking an assertive, self-starter individual to create the marketing team. These efforts are intended to enhance brand presence, support recruitment marketing initiatives, and establish a strong digital and event-driven outreach strategy.

Marketing Consultant duties/responsibilities:

• Website Development
  • Design and develop a modern, mobile-responsive website.
  • Provide guidance on hosting, domain setup, and CMS selection (e.g., WordPress, Squarespace).
  • Ensure basic SEO setup (metadata, alt tags, keyword targeting).
  • Assist with copywriting and visual layout.
• Social Media Management
  • Design a library of branded social media tiles (graphic templates for recurring use).
  • Create a social media content calendar with a recommended posting cadence.
  • Develop content guidelines for LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram (or other relevant platforms).
  • Assist in scheduling posts and monitoring engagement metrics.
• LinkedIn Engagement & Optimization
  • Optimize company LinkedIn profile and leadership team pages.
  • Develop strategies to grow followers and increase engagement.
  • Identify and execute tactics to connect with and attract job candidates.
• Recruitment Marketing Support
  • Design materials (flyers, digital banners, email graphics) for hiring events and job fairs.
  • Assist in building landing pages or campaign-specific materials for candidate pipelines.
  • Support creation of targeted job campaign ads on social media.
• Ongoing Marketing Support
  • Provide regular marketing consultation (e.g., bi-weekly check-ins or status reports).
  • Advise on employer branding strategy.
  • Offer creative direction for additional collateral as needed (e.g., brochures, video scripts, infographics).
  • Track and report on marketing effectiveness.
• Develop Brand Identity
  • Create the company’s brand voice, mission, vision, and values.
  • Design or oversee the development of logos, color palettes, fonts, and other visual identity elements
  • Conduct competitive analysis, customer profiling, and market segmentation.
  • Identify target audiences and understand their needs and preferences
  • Build a comprehensive marketing plan (digital, content, email, social, print, events, etc.).
  • Establish KPIs to measure brand awareness and engagement.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Marketing Specialist with a focus on rebranding and engagement
• Strong understanding of current marketing tools and strategies
• Experience developing and executing branding and digital marketing campaigns
• Exceptional communication, project management, and analytical skills
• Proficiency in tools such as Google Analytics, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (preferred)
• Portfolio of past branding and engagement campaigns required
