Ensure compliance with current health and safety legislation to protect the safety and health of learners, staff, and visitors. Increase health and safety awareness at all organizational levels. Investigate and report on serious/critical personal injury accidents and hazardous condition complaints; assist investigations. Respond to employee safety concerns and conduct safety inspections of the facility. Assist in occupational health and safety committees and coordinate responses to fires and emergencies. Coordinate registration and removal of hazardous waste; coordinate receipt of reports and orders from local, state, and federal agencies. Arrange Occupational Health and Safety testing or evaluations by external agencies as needed. Liaise with regulatory bodies; coordinate training in safety, first aid, CPR, accident prevention, inspections, and emergency procedures. Develop, review, and update Emergency Procedures Manual; act as on‑site emergency coordinator. Collaborate with environmental health and safety teams to manage waste operations and comply with cGMP and internal safety standards. Lead annual GMP, safety, and related training sessions; ensure compliance with quality control activities. Maintain clean and stored practices per cGMP. Skills Reading and interpreting safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Writing routine reports and correspondence. Speaking effectively before groups of customers or employees. Calculating financial figures (discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages). Applying basic algebra and geometry concepts.
