We are looking for a Warehouse Fulfillment & Returns Agent (Contract) to oversee the day-to-day operations of returns and overstock management. This role is responsible for ensuring products are inspected, logged, and processed correctly in Shopify, managing the returns portal, and maintaining accurate inventory levels. The right candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that our customers receive a smooth and professional post-purchase experience while helping us organize and move local stock efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and manage all product returns through Shopify and the returns portal, ensuring timely and accurate handling.
• Conduct detailed quality checks on returned items, including clothing and footwear, verifying sizing, condition, and overall resale readiness.
• Accurately log, track, and reconcile returns, ensuring all items are accounted for and processed properly.
• Maintain updated and organized inventory records, reflecting overstock adjustments, restocks, and returned merchandise.
• Collaborate with the customer service team to ensure clear communication on the status of returns and replacements.
• Identify recurring return issues, product flaws, or quality concerns and escalate them to management.
• Assist with general warehouse tasks related to inventory movement, organization, and fulfillment as needed.
• Support the efficient flow of goods in and out of the local warehouse, contributing to the overall success of our operations.

What We’re Looking For

• Prior experience in warehouse operations, fulfillment, or returns management preferred; experience in fashion or apparel is a strong plus.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to accurately assess sizing, condition, and product quality.
• Comfortable working with Shopify or similar e-commerce/inventory management systems.
• Highly organized and reliable, with strong time management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Proactive and process-driven, with a focus on improving efficiency and accuracy in daily tasks.

Schedule & Pay

• $14.50/hour
• Up to 5 days per week
• 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM CT
• This is a contract position. You will be engaged as an independent contractor (1099) and will be responsible for your own taxes, insurance, and benefits. This role is not a permanent employee position. Contract length and renewal will be determined based on business needs.

Legal Classification Notice
This is a contract position classified as an independent contractor role under applicable labor and tax laws. The contractor will:

• Receive payment as an independent 1099 contractor.
• Be solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes associated with compensation.
• Not be eligible for employee benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, or retirement plans.
• Maintain control over the means and methods used to perform assigned work while meeting agreed-upon outcomes.
• Acknowledge that this agreement may be concluded or not renewed at the company’s discretion, based on business needs or performance.
