Advanced Practice Provider a' Urgent Care Location: Wilton, CT Minimum 1 year Experience Urgent Care/Emergency Medicine Overview:An exciting opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a leading Urgent Care team in Western Connecticut. This role offers the chance to practice the full scope of advanced practice medicine in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment, providing high-quality care to patients of all ages.Role Scope & Responsibilities:a Provide comprehensive urgent care services, including management of acute illnesses and minor injuries.a Perform and interpret EKGs.a Conduct venipuncture and peripheral IV line placement.a Administer intramuscular (IM) and intravenous (IV) medications.a Perform dressing changes and wound care management.a Conduct incision and drainage of simple abscesses.a Perform suturing and stapling of simple wounds and lacerations, and suture removal.a Apply splints and casts as indicated.a Conduct gynecological and pelvic exams.a Interpret preliminary X-ray findings.a Perform Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals.a Conduct occupational, school, and sports physicals for pediatric and adult patients.a Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to provide efficient, evidence-based patient care.Schedule & Practice Details:a Full-time, 38 hours per week with full benefits.a Rotating schedule during clinic hours:oMondaya'Friday: 8:00 AM a' 8:00 PMoSaturdaya'Sunday: 9:00 AM a' 5:00 PMa Weekend shifts required on a rotational basis.a Practice locations include various Urgent Care centers across Western Connecticut, including Wilton and surrounding towns.Advanced Practice Provider Benefits:a Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package.a Matching 401(k), tiered medical, dental, and vision plans.a Generous paid time off and reimbursement for CME, professional memberships, licenses, and malpractice coverage.a No on-call responsibilities.a Access to advanced clinical technology and continuous process improvement initiatives.a Structured onboarding program with ongoing mentorship and professional support.a Commitment to continuous learning, growth, and teamwork in a supportive, collaborative environment.Qualifications:a Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (APRN) mastera s program.a Current Connecticut license as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner/Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.a National certification as a Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).a Minimum of one year of experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or a similar clinical setting required.a Experience treating patients across all age groupsa'from pediatrics to geriatricsa'preferred.a Urgent care or occupational health background strongly preferred.
