Steelstruct Engineering is a privately owned, highly regarded Western Australian company providing steel fabrication, hardfacing and precision machining services to Australia's mining and resource markets. We manufacture from our modern, fully equipped workshops strategically located in Henderson (WA) and Rayong (Thailand).

About the role

Steelstruct Engineering is currently seeking a Trades Assistant to join our busy team located in Henderson for an immediate start. This is a full-time position, with a competitive salary and plenty of overtime available for the right candidate. This is a great opportunity for the right person to gain valuable experience and learn new skills in the steel / manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Loading steel with overhead cranes
• Dispatching of goods
• Painting
• Packing
• Working safely and ensuring the safety of those around you

Qualifications / Requirements

• Must have the ability to read drawings and check off materials
• Must have FLT licence
• Must have current driver's licence
• Strong commitment to safety
• Be physically fit
• Punctual and reliable
• Machining or heavy tooling experience
• Crane experience
• Steel knowledge / experience
