Position is a hybrid role and requires three days in the Minneapolis, MN office.
Position Purpose
The individual in this position will be responsible for leading the Target business team based in Minneapolis in supporting the Lindt & Sprngli USA long term strategic vision for sustainable, profitable sales and category growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead, develop and maintain joint strategic business building relationships with Target Executive/Senior Management, Marketing and Logistics teams, beyond day-to-day requirements (e.g., Merchants, Omni Managers).
- Build and sustain extraordinary customer relationships at all levels to profitably grow the Lindt business.
- Lead and own the JBP process at Target, analyze financials, and manage planning agreements to drive growth and maintain Lindt profit levels.
- Develop and execute strategic business plans using in-depth analysis, shopper and consumer insight, category management, shopper marketing, and P&L management to drive accelerated profitable growth for Lindt & Sprngli USA and value for the customer and shopper.
- Develop and maintain a 3-5 year growth strategy with workforce, infrastructure and resource recommendations to support corporate growth goals.
- Provide direct leadership for a team of 3 professionals supporting the Target accounts for Lindt; recruit, onboard, set goals, manage performance, and develop team members.
- Partner with Lindt Ecommerce colleagues to meet omni-channel growth metrics.
- Maintain strong internal visibility by collaborating with internal Sales, Marketing, Finance, RGM and Logistics teams.
- Partner with marketing to develop long-term customer-specific plans for growth and innovation relevant to Target.
- Continue developing the partner relationship with the customer as a trusted source for premium chocolate insights within the total confectionery category.
National Sales & Account Management
- Execute long-term strategic vision including identification and development of customer-specific initiatives across seasonal and non-seasonal portfolios.
- Develop and execute short- and long-term initiatives to support brand-positioning and build the Lindt brand within the retailer.
- Create and implement brand-positioning strategies to elevate the Lindt brand within the retailer.
- Ensure timely delivery of products to meet forecasted sales and profit targets within budgetary guidelines.
- Meet customer/division/channel needs without compromising the defined Lindt & Sprngli market strategy; tailor products to channel definitions.
- Develop cross-functional relationships to support strategic customer initiatives and long-term profitable growth.
- Lead customer development efforts with Revenue Growth Management, Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, & Strategic Customer Development; engage all departments to align with long-term goals.
- Oversee or develop professional, strategic presentations, including joint business planning (JBP).
- Manage ongoing business planning between the customer and Lindt & Sprngli, including annual planning and sales/financial reporting.
- Utilize Lindt field merchandising to secure upfront program support and strong sell-through results.
- Collaborate with Category Management and Trade Marketing to deliver insights and solutions aligned with growth objectives.
Fiscal Responsibility
- Meet or exceed customer sales targets and profitability within budgetary constraints.
- Develop annual budget requirements to maximize profit.
- Partner with RGM to develop forecasts that maximize in-store availability and minimize out-of-stock conditions; inform Sales Leadership and optimize production planning.
- Manage Trade Promotion Funds to expand business at Target while maximizing impact.
- Ensure customer deductions are managed timely and in line with invoicing policy; address retroactive claims and future deduction management in cooperation with Finance.

Education
- Bachelor's degree; Masters in related field preferred
Total Rewards
- Compensation Range: $129,000.00-$167,000.00

Lindt USAs salary range reflects market rates based on size, revenue, and location. Starting pay is determined by a range of factors including skills, knowledge and experience as well as market conditions. A bonus and/or long-term incentive may be included as part of compensation.
