Position Title: Travel Respiratory Therapist
Location: Hyannis, MA 02601
Job Type: Contract | Temporary | 13 Weeks
Schedule: 07:00 AM – 07:00 PM | 36 hrs/week | Rotating Days (7p–7a) | Every Other Weekend & Holiday
Travel Pay Range- $56-$62hourly
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Travel Respiratory Therapist for an exciting job in Hyannis, MA.
Responsibilities:Identify and manage acute and chronic cardiopulmonary dysfunctions.
Initiate and manage ventilatory support, including recommending appropriate settings and applying lung-protective strategies.
Perform ventilator weaning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Conduct diagnostic procedures such as arterial blood gas (ABG) draws, sputum specimen collection, capnography, and bedside spirometry.
Interpret ABG results and assess respiratory parameters accurately.
Provide respiratory monitoring during patient transport within and between facilities.
Respond to Code Blue and Rapid Response Team (RRT) calls.
Assist with conscious sedation, intubations, and bronchoscopies across departments (Bronch Suite, OR, ER, ICU).
Administer therapeutic gases (O₂, Heliox, high-flow oxygen therapy) and aerosolized medications.
Support airway management, including tracheostomy care, suctioning, and trach tube changes.
Assess and administer airway clearance therapies (PEP, CPT, and other modalities).
Provide and manage non-invasive ventilation (NIV) therapies.
Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, offering clinical input and patient status updates.
Accurately document and reconcile charges in the EMR system daily.
Precept, train, and mentor students or new staff as required.
Maintain respiratory equipment, inventory, and supplies.
Adhere to all departmental policies, protocols, and safety standards.
Deliver exceptional patient care and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
Active Massachusetts Respiratory Therapy License (required).
Current BLS certification (required).
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (preferred).
Minimum one (1) year of critical care experience preferred.
Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
