Night Custodian
Full-time custodial worker position, 12 months,
night shift from 2:30 pm to 11 pm. CSEA
non-competitive position with a current salary
of $17.69/hr. plus differential and benefits.
Salary will increase with new contract.

The Night Custodian is responsible for ensuring that school or facility buildings are clean, safe, and secure during evening and overnight hours. Duties include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting floors, restrooms, classrooms, and common areas. The custodian will also empty trash receptacles, clean windows, and replenish supplies. Light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and reporting repair needs are part of the role. The Night Custodian is responsible for locking doors, securing the facility, and performing routine building checks to maintain safety. Candidates should be dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Physical stamina is required for extended periods of standing, bending, and lifting. Prior custodial experience is preferred but not required. The Night Custodian plays a key role in maintaining a clean, healthy, and welcoming environment for staff, students, and visitors to return to each morning.
