JOB DESCRIPTION

WPEC is seeking a creative full-time morning News Photographer. We want someone who can see beyond the lens and tell compelling stories. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of ENG experience with a network affiliate news organization. Responsibilities include covering daily general news, in-depth features, and investigative assignments. We shoot in full high definition (HD) on media cards and edit on desktops and laptops. Strong editing skills in non-linear editing systems, excellent interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude are essential. A passion for storytelling is crucial. Requirements and Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of shooting experience and knowledge of editing and photo equipment Team player capable of producing quality stories under tight deadlines Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to operate ENG news vehicles Ability to shoot and edit general assignment stories, live shots, and natural sound packages Ability to lift and carry between 25 and 50 pounds regularly Avid editing experience preferred Availability to work weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts
