The stations produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news each week and distribute national content through the FOX Network. Job Description FOX 7 Austin News is seeking a talented and dedicated News Photographer to join our team. The role requires capturing compelling visuals and delivering broadcast-quality video consistently. You will work with reporters or independently to bring stories to life for our audience. Key Responsibilities Video Production: Capture and produce high-quality video footage that meets broadcast standards, ensuring clarity, composition, and storytelling excellence. Time Management: Manage your schedule to meet deadlines and time-slots, demonstrating reliability and punctuality. Collaboration: Work with reporters and other team members to enhance news coverage. Communication: Maintain communication with the assignments desk, providing timely updates during breaking news and while streaming live video. Equipment Care: Handle and maintain camera and live equipment to ensure optimal functionality and longevity. Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of company vehicles, reflecting professionalism. Qualifications Proven experience in news photography with a portfolio of broadcast-quality video work. Strong technical skills in operating video cameras and related equipment. Excellent time management and organizational abilities. Effective verbal and written communication. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments.
