Job Title: Medical Review Specialist
Location: Remote (U.S. based only) Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Review Specialist to join our remote Document Management Team. This role is ideal for individuals with strong organizational skills and a high level of accuracy in reviewing and handling sensitive medical documentation. The Medical Review Specialist will be responsible for document review, case creation, data entry, and redaction of PII/PHI, ensuring compliance and accuracy in processing patient medical records. Key Responsibilities:

• Case Creation: Accurately input new medical cases into internal systems.
• Document Review: Ensure all medical records include key information such as provider names, treatment details, and dates of service.
• Redaction: Carefully review summaries and redact Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Protected Health Information (PHI).
• Indexing: Organize and index large volumes of medical documents with precision and efficiency.
• Data Entry: Perform high-volume data entry tasks while maintaining exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
• Other Duties: Perform additional administrative tasks as assigned by management.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (associate degree preferred).
• 1–2 years of related work experience (medical records or healthcare documentation preferred).
• Ability to recognize non-medical documents and determine appropriate actions.
• Proficient in identifying the origin of submitted medical records.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience handling medical records or working in a healthcare environment.
• Experience working in a remote capacity.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and best practices for handling PHI.
