Crown Mortgage Company, a 50-year-old mortgage banking firm, is seeking a hard-working, dedicated, licensed Mortgage Loan Originator to join our team. Crown Mortgage Company, a Conventional, FHA, and VA lender never sells our borrowers’ loans. All loans are originated, underwritten, and serviced at our Oak Lawn headquarters. Crown Offers Speed, Flexibility & Dependability 1-Hour Written Mortgage Commitments, Pre-Purchase mortgage commitments, along with 10-Day Closings (Conventional and FHA). Crown is the Lender! Responsibilities: Conduct thorough analysis of applicants’ financial status and assess their creditworthiness. Utilize knowledge of mortgage loan products, including Conventional, FHA and VA lending. Collaborate with clients, real estate agents, attorneys, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth loan processing. Develops new and expands existing internal and external referral sources to grow mortgage business. Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent customer service skills and strong work ethic. Exceptional verbal and written communication and listening skills. Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail while meeting deadlines in demanding environment. Ability to think strategically to solve problems or challenges with loan files. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, and loan origination systems (preferably Encompass). Education and Formal Training Requirements: Current, active NMLS License 2-4 Years Related Mortgage Origination Experience Must have a clear understanding of federal & state rules and regulations along with Fannie, Freddie, FHA, and VA guidelines. Demonstrated ability to manage a pipeline and book of business. Will consider no license, no experience. They must be 21 years of age or older. They should look, walk, and talk like a salesperson!
