IP Patent Associate or Counsel (Professional Track) - Am Law 100 Firm About the Position: Our client, a prominent global law firm, is seeking a patent lawyer with patent agent experience and an undergraduate degree in a technical field to join as an associate or counsel (professional track) in its Chicago office. This firm’s internationally recognized IP team offers a complete range of services for its clients, assisting them in navigating complex patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret issues across the spectrum of business operations. Highlights: · Opportunity for strong work/life balance · Named as one of the “Most Innovative Law Firms in North America” · Positive and collegial culture · Excellent training and development opportunities · Ongoing commitment to pro bono service Responsibilities: · Draft and prosecute patents, including telecommunications-related patents · Handle patent litigation and PTAB proceedings · Manage a busy patent prosecution docket Required Qualifications: · 5-10 years of patent law experience · Experience as a patent agent · Patent litigation and PTAB proceeding experience preferred · Undergraduate degree in a technical field (Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Sciences, Physics, or similar) · Master’s degree or Ph.D. in a technical field is a plus · Must be registered with the USPTO · Excellent academic credentials and writing skills Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid) Compensation: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $170,000 - $220,000.
