ALANTRA is seeking to hire an Investment Banking Associate to help support its Industrials M&A and capital raising advisory business. The position will be located onsite in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of relevant experience with the ability to immediately and meaningfully impact the team, while also engaging thoughtfully with Alantra's training and onboarding practices. The Associate will have the opportunity to consistently work directly with Alantra’s U.S. Managing Directors and Partners. Responsibilities include developing and authoring pitch materials; preparing client presentations and deal documents such as teasers, confidential information memoranda, and management presentations; conducting extensive financial and valuation analyses; building advanced financial models to establish suitable capital structures, financial covenants, and sensitivity to key variables; producing comprehensive industry and company-specific research; developing marketing strategies, conducting buyer outreach and target approach; managing due diligence and providing transaction support; supporting transaction negotiations; and participating in recruitment, development, training, and mentoring of Analysts and junior resources. Requirements include 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, a Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred) with a focus in business, finance, accounting or similar, strong knowledge of M&A and capital raising, solid finance/accounting knowledge, experience reviewing analysts’ work, sound judgment in valuation matters, exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills, outstanding written and oral communication skills, excellent analytical, creative, and strategic thinking skills, team player mentality with ability to work independently, strong organization skills, advanced Microsoft Office skills (expert in Excel and PowerPoint), and FINRA Series 79/7 and 63 licenses required or to be obtained within six months of employment. Location is New York, NY with immediate start date.
