Industrial Hydraulic Mechanic

The purpose of this position is to disassemble and inspect, evaluate, recondition, reassemble and rebuild hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders and other components.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ability to read schematics and operation sheets.
• Ability to disassemble and reassemble cylinders and components.
• Responsible for inspecting, identifying and installing seals.
• Responsible for inspecting cylinders and components.
• Responsible for testing and set-up of all repaired equipment.
• Reports any malfunctions or equipment problems to Shop Manager.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities Required:

• Must be proficient in basic cylinder assembly and teardown skills.
• Steady eye-hand coordination.
• Strong communication skills.

Physical Requirement:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Education and Experience Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year hydraulic experience a plus.
