The Impact You'll Have:

As a Graduate Transportation Engineer, you will work with a licensed Professional Engineer focused on helping you grow your skills while delivering roadway design projects for state, county, and local clients. You will be involved in all aspects of transportation design and will work closely with mentors and peers invested in the growth and success of your career.

Responsibilities:

  • Geometric Design - developing typical sections, alignments and profiles for roadways, bikeways, and pedestrian facilities.
  • Final Road Design - determining and detailing typical sections, superelevation, guardrail, and other roadway components.
  • Traffic Engineering - developing signing, pavement marking, and maintenance of traffic plans.
  • Plans - producing clear and complete plan sets for construction.
  • Cost Estimating - preparing quantities and researching historic unit prices to estimate construction costs.
  • CADD - utilizing Microstation/Geopak, Open Roads Designer, and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D to draft and model designs and prepare plans.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or related engineering field), or actively pursing degree.
  • 0 - 4 years of experience in Civil Engineering
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent critical thinking skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Drive for excellence
  • MicroStation or AutoCAD experience preferred
  • Roadway design or construction experience preferred

This position is expected to begin in May 2026.

The base salary for this position is expected to be in the range of $70,000 - $80,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
