Job Location : 85 MELROSE STREET - BROOKLYN, NY Position Type : Full Time Salary Range : $78,700.00 - $91,800.00 Salary/year Travel Percentage : None Job Shift : Day Shift Job Category : Nonprofit - Social Services Job Description ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Under the general supervision of the VP of Community Affairs, the Fundraising Manager’s primary responsibility will be to maximize RiseBoro’s funding opportunities. Key aspects of the role will include identifying new and potential donors, developing and nurturing relationships, and securing grant income from trusts, foundations, philanthropic donors, and private firms. Additionally, the Fundraising Manager will develop RiseBoro’s fundraising campaigns, communicate with current and prospective donors, and share RiseBoro’s story of comprehensive impact in new and compelling ways to attract resources and strategic partners for the mission. Specific duties and responsibilities include: Work closely with the VP of Community Affairs, the Development Director, and RiseBoro staff to identify areas of divisional, departmental, and organizational need. Identify new non-governmental funding opportunities by conducting prospective research. Identify RFPs and other funding opportunities. Pursue and secure individual and corporate gifts; plan special fundraising events in coordination with the marketing team. Meet donation targets by approaching members of the public (‘community fundraising’), high-value donors, companies, board members, and supporters. Prepare annual income and expenditure fundraising budgets for approval. Record, monitor, and report financial progress. Create and maintain a donor database. Update databases, prepare reports, and track fundraising activities. Network with local, regional, state, and national agencies, educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, and private-sector business interests for organizational development. Work with the Services Manager to help recruit and manage volunteers for fundraising projects. Support and provide tools needed to the CEO, CPO, and VP of Community Affairs, and Board of Directors in their solicitation and stewardship efforts. Monitor, measure, and report on the performance of fundraising efforts. Other duties and special projects as assigned.

COMPETENCIES

Exemplary interpersonal and networking skills; able to manage relationships with institutional donors and prospects. Solid working knowledge and fluency in Microsoft Office, CRM platforms/donor software, and Excel, with data analysis experience. Possess an energetic, enthusiastic attitude with an ability to build positive team spirit. Ability to effectively multi-task, work well under pressure, and produce quality work within tight deadlines. Ability to implement systems, follow-up processes, and use independent judgment. Highly organized with superb attention to detail; able to gather and analyze information skillfully. Dynamic self-starter with the ability to work independently, approach tasks creatively. Ability to work effectively in an environment with diverse cultures, multiple perspectives, and competing needs. Commitment to RiseBoro’s mission, vision, and values. Ability to understand the concepts of institutional and structural racism and bias and their impact on underserved and underrepresented communities. Demonstrated commitment to supporting communities that have experienced systemic oppression and bias i.e., people of color, LGBTQ+ people, immigrants, justice-involved persons, etc. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in communications, English, business, or a related field and a minimum of two (2) years of experience in fundraising.
