We are seeking a passionate and innovative Fire Sprinkler Designer to join our dynamic Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and preparing layout plans for fire sprinkler systems using AutoCAD. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to contribute to life-saving technology in the engineering industry. This role is ideal for a creative problem-solver with a strong understanding of fire protection systems and design principles.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop detailed layout plans for fire sprinkler systems using AutoCAD, ensuring compliance with national and local codes.
2. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate fire sprinkler systems into overall building design.
3. Perform hydraulic calculations to determine water supply requirements and system constraints.
4. Review project specifications and blueprints to understand project requirements and objectives.
5. Conduct site visits to gather information and ensure the accurate implementation of design plans.
6. Participate in project meetings, providing expert advice on fire sprinkler system design and installation.
7. Continuously update knowledge on latest fire protection standards, codes, and technologies.
8. Work closely with the project team to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in fire sprinkler design, preferably within the engineering industry.
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software.
4. Strong understanding of fire protection codes and standards.
5. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
6. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
7. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
8. NICET certification in Fire Protection Engineering Technology – Water-Based Systems Layout is a plus.
