Robert Half is partnering with a commercial real estate design firm in search for an Events Specialist to join their team. The primary focus of the Events Specialist will be event coordination, promotion, and other marketing activities to grow sales and build the firm's brand. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual, who has demonstrated entry to moderate level experience planning and coordinating events, and assisting in marketing program development, and content and marketing material creation. They will have a key function in coordinating logistics for tradeshows and events. They will also excel in a collaborative environment that values teamwork, cooperation and pleasant persistence. This position has the potential to grow in responsibility based on their success within the organization.

Salary: $65k - $85k

Work Style: Hybrid 3x/week on office + ability to travel a few times a year including weekends, no exceptions

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate all aspects of marketing events, including conferences, trade shows, regional product launches, and promotional activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution, from concept development to post-event evaluation.
  • Manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors, venues, associations and suppliers to optimize resources.
  • Coordinate logistics, including venue selection, catering, audiovisual setups, and transportation.
  • Oversee on-site event management, ensuring a smooth and professional experience for attendees.
  • Develop strategies to enhance attendee engagement and interaction during events.
  • Implement surveys and feedback mechanisms to gather insights for continuous improvement.
  • Conduct post-event analysis, measuring the success of events against predefined KPIs.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for future events based on feedback and data analysis.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including sales, product development, and customer service, to ensure cohesive marketing efforts.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and partners as needed.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in event planning and coordination
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creativity and a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Communicate effectively and accurately in written, verbal and graphic form.
  • Able to translate concepts, text and information into a wide variety of deliverables.
