Job Description: Criminal Defense Associate Attorney

SUZUKI LAW , a well-established and respected law firm specializing in Criminal Defense and Personal Injury, is currently seeking to add a full-time Criminal Defense Associate Attorney . This position requires a minimum of three (3) years of experience in criminal defense and/or criminal prosecution. The average attorney experience at Suzuki Law is currently 18.5 years and works with our in-house investigators (retired law enforcement) as a team to obtain successful resolutions for our clients.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards , along with strong oral advocacy and courtroom skills . This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney to join a dynamic, very experienced and supportive legal team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in a variety of criminal matters from arraignment through trial or resolution.
• Conduct legal research, draft motions, and prepare for hearings and trials.
• Negotiate plea deals and interact with prosecutors, judges, and court personnel.
• Communicate effectively with clients and keep them informed throughout the legal process.
• Maintain the highest standards of client service and legal representation.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing with the Arizona State Bar (or ability to waive in).
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in criminal defense and/or prosecution.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Spanish fluency is a plus but not required.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive salary (between $120,000.00 - $170,000.00 + Bonus).
