About the Role
The Construction Superintendent oversees day-to-day operations on the jobsite, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards. This role is the key field leader responsible for coordinating subcontractors, managing schedules, and maintaining open communication between the office and the field.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise all on-site construction activities and personnel.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Coordinate scheduling of subcontractors, materials, and inspections.
Review and interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications.
Monitor work progress, quality, and adherence to plans and schedules.
Identify potential issues early and collaborate with the Project Manager to develop solutions.
Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and documentation.
Conduct site meetings with subcontractors and field staff.
Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and safety.
Qualifications
Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and safety standards.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in scheduling, construction software, and plan reading.
