Job Description

As a Airport Security Officer , you will serve and safeguard the airport, it's facilities, travelers, and ensure the safety and security of airport operations. Along with Dispatch , you'll be the communication hub of our aviation security operations. You'll coordinate real-time responses, monitor systems, and dispatch officers to where they're needed most.

Position Type: Part Time - Afternoon 

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $3.93. The premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Requirements:

  • 21+ years of age
  • Security Experience: 1+ years

What You'll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following relevant procedures for the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter inappropriate behavior and/or unauthorized access.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or potential security-related concerns within the government facility.
  • Support Allied Universal management in implementing post orders and protocols specific to the location.
  • Assist visitors and employees by providing directions or answering questions related to the property.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with law enforcement, first responders, and Allied Universal leadership when required.
  • Remain alert to environmental and/or operational changes within the location that may require an adjustment in security-related procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
