Job Description
The Sponsorship & Fundraising Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the mission of Leave No Ballplayer Behind by securing corporate sponsorships, community partnerships, and donor support to reduce cost for baseball players in need. This role organizes and executes fundraising events and campaigns under the direction of the Executive Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect, pitch, and secure local and regional corporate sponsorships (facility signage, jersey logos, social media promotions, etc.).
- Build long-term partnerships with businesses and community organizations.
- Maintain sponsorship database and ensure contract fulfillment.
Fundraising & Events
- Plan, organize, and execute fundraising events (tournaments, golf outings, banquets, home run derbies, auctions, etc.).
- Create donor campaigns and oversee communication to families, alumni, and the local community.
- - Track fundraising performance, budgets, and ROI for events.
Community & Donor Engagement
- Represent the Academy at community events and networking opportunities.
- Manage donor recognition programs and ensure proper stewardship of sponsors.
Qualifications:
- Strong sports/nonprofit background in sales, marketing, or fundraising.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Organized, self-motivated, and goal-oriented.
- Ability to plan and manage events.
- Familiarity with youth sports, baseball, or community programs is preferred.
Performance Metrics:
- Sponsorship revenue secured.
- Funds raised through events and campaigns.
- Retention rate of sponsors/donors.
